$250 Reward Now for Illegal Dumping Tips

Prince George’s County Crime Solvers is now offering a $250 reward for tips that lead to the arrest and prosecution of individuals involved in illegal dumping. If you witness illegal dumping in progress, call 911 immediately. Otherwise, to submit anonymous tips about incidents, contact Prince George’s County Crime Solvers. Penalties/Fines range from $1,500 for small household dumping to $30,000 and possible imprisonment for larger commercial offenses. “The roadways and public spaces of Prince George’s County should lead to opportunity, not be aligned with illegal debris,” said County Executive Aisha Braveboy. “They should reflect the pride we have in our communities, not the neglect of those who refuse to respect our roads or us as residents.”

Safe Summer Strategy to Help Prevent Teen Takeovers

What Are Teen Takeovers: Refers to a large, often unregulated gathering of teenagers—sometimes hundreds—organized through social media to meet at a specific public location at a set time. While the initial intent can be social or recreational, these events have increasingly spun out of control into criminal activity. Example of recent Teen Takeover in Detroit.

Prince George’s County Crime Solvers is working with law enforcement, community partners, and youth organizations to reduce the risks associated with teen takeovers by focusing on: Early Detection Through Anonymous Tips; Youth-Focused Prevention — Promoting Safe, Structured Summer Activities; Rapid Community Alerts; and Partnering with Parents and Schools.

$500 Reward Now Information Leading to Disruption of These Events

These events often involve hundreds of cars, dangerous high-speed driving, and “exhibition driving” (drift/burnout) in commercial parking lots. Note: Illegal car rallies are often confused with, but are entirely separate from, authorized community car meets or sanctioned, organized car shows. Recent News Report: Illegal car rally incident can be viewed here.
