Every day, people across Prince George’s County help solve crimes—quietly, anonymously, and effectively. To recognize those efforts, Prince George’s County Crime Solvers offers cash rewards for information that leads to an arrest or felony charges.
This isn’t just about money. It’s about making our neighborhoods safer—and thanking you for stepping up.
How It Works
When you submit a tip through our secure system—online, via the app, or by calling our 24/7 hotline—you’ll receive a confidential Tip ID number and password. This is the only way to check the status of your tip, follow up with investigators (anonymously), or claim a reward if eligible.
If your tip leads to an arrest and the filing of felony charges—or helps capture a felony fugitive—you may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,500.
In more serious cases—like homicide, rape, or first-degree sexual assault—rewards can go up to $25,000, with special authorization from the Chief of Police.
Who Decides on Rewards
Our volunteer Board of Directors meets monthly to review all reward recommendations. They work closely with law enforcement and review each case to determine:
If a reward is warranted
How much should be awarded
When the reward will be paid
How Rewards Are Paid
All rewards are paid in cash, in U.S. currency only. You remain anonymous throughout the entire process—even when receiving your reward. Your Tip ID number is the key to everything. From arrest and indictment to reward processing, the timeline can take up to 60 days, depending on the case.
