How does the online tip process work?
Submitting a tip through our website is safe, secure, and keeps you completely anonymous.
When you submit a tip on our Send a Tip page, your information is protected by advanced encryption via a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) connection. This ensures your tip remains fully confidential and is transmitted securely and instantly to our Crime Solvers team.
After you hit submit, you’ll receive a unique Tip ID number.
Hold onto that number securely—it’s how you’ll check your tip status or claim a reward later. It’s also the only way we can track your tip without ever knowing who you are.
Can’t I just send an email instead?
No—please don’t send tips by email.
For your safety and privacy, use our secure online form or the P3 Tips app. Both are encrypted to protect your identity and deliver your tip safely and anonymously, and in real time.
Email is neither anonymous nor secure. It passes through multiple servers and can be tracked, intercepted, or exposed—putting your identity at risk. For this reason, we do not accept tips sent by email.
To stay truly anonymous, always use our secure tip form (Send a Tip) or the P3 Tips app. It’s designed to protect you, every step of the way.
