At Prince George’s County Crime Solvers, your anonymity is our top priority. Whether you submit a tip online or by phone, every part of our process is designed to protect your identity and keep you safe.
How Do I Stay Anonymous?
- We don’t ask who you are.
When you call the toll-free tip line, you will not be asked for your name, address, or how you came across the information. You are not required to share anything personal. Your privacy is fully protected. - We don’t track your call.
Our tip line doesn’t capture caller ID, trace your number, or record conversations—your call remains completely private. - You’ll get a Tip ID—not a name.
Once you submit your tip, you’ll receive a confidential Tip ID number. This is your only way to check the status of your case or claim a reward—and only you will have access to it.
What Happens to My Tip?
After you share your tip:

We create a report—carefully reviewing it to make sure it contains no identifying details.

Your tip is sent to the appropriate law enforcement agency.

Police review and verify the tip before taking any action. They cannot act on Crime Solvers information alone. Additional evidence is always required.

The tip is assigned to a detective or officer for follow-up.
Whether it leads to more research, an investigation, or an arrest, you stay anonymous throughout.
